Bainbridge Prepares

Founded in 2011, Bainbridge Prepares helps our island get ready for natural disasters and public health emergencies. With more than 20 specialized teams and 700+ volunteers, we partner with first responders, government agencies, and fellow nonprofits to strengthen communities before emergencies happen, and to support the professional response when they do.

From neighborhood preparedness to large-scale disaster response, our work is rooted in a simple belief: when neighbors know each other, train together, and look out for one another, our whole island is stronger. Preparedness starts with the community.
