YWCA Kitsap County

YWCA of Kitsap County is the only state-certified domestic violence service provider in the County. We advance justice through direct service programs—safety planning, advocacy, emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal services, trauma-informed care, after-school and summer activities for our children, support groups, strengthening families classes, digital skill classes in our computer lab and job counselling, training for professionals and first responders, school-based prevention education, and community outreach. Here, a woman is empowered to leave an abusive relationship. Here, a mother and her children escape their abuser, avoid homelessness, and access safe, permanent housing. Here, with support and caring, a mother can find her positive path forward. Here, families break the intergenerational cycle of violence. Here, we bear witness to survivors’ dignity and celebrate their victories. But we don’t do it alone. It takes a community to end domestic violence–and Kitsap County CAN interrupt the cycle.
