Cancer is a disease that knows no boundaries. The Kathleen Sutton Fund (KSF) has a single and simple mission: To provide assistance with transportation costs for women with cancer, living in Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason Counties. Since 2003, KSF has been providing assistance to defer transportation costs for over 900 women, with over $500,000. Many patients find themselves in dire financial difficulties, forced to choose between paying the rent or receiving treatment. The fund covers gas, ferry fees, parking & other transit expenses while undergoing cancer treatment.; providing some measure of financial relief during their treatment of cancer, with a goal to allow them to focus on healing.
