Bainbridge Island Rowing

Since 2001, Bainbridge Island Rowing has been growing a multi‑generational Kitsap County rowing community from our home on historic Eagle Harbor. Now celebrating 25 years, we remain committed to our mission: building community through rowing and serving the broader West Sound region.

BIR supports recreational, fitness, and competitive rowing goals for youth and adults by providing outstanding coaching, well‑maintained equipment, and welcoming facilities that foster connection, teamwork, and personal growth. Over the past quarter‑century, rowing at BIR has positively impacted hundreds of lives through its physical, psychological, social, and sporting benefits.

We introduce new rowers to the sport through Learn to Row programs and summer camps, and offer year‑round opportunities for middle school and high school athletes, as well as adults, to train and compete locally, regionally, and nationally. Our programs continue to expand access to the water and strengthen the vibrant community that has grown around the boathouse.
