Sustainable Bainbridge

Sustainable Bainbridge promotes actions to increase social, economic, and environmental sustainability of our community.

Our programs include Zero Waste BI, Bainbridge Beach Naturalists, Climate Action Bainbridge, BI Watershed Council, Weed Warriors, Bainbridge GreenWays, ReFashion Bainbridge, and the Bainbridge Solar Collective. We serve the community with such popular free offerings as the Tableware Lending Library, beach explorations, and the semi-annual Clothing Swap.

In addition to our ongoing programs, we function as an incubator to support the development of new sustainability-related initiatives in the community like The ReUse Depot. We also collaborate with partner organizations on special projects, such as Earth Month, Bainbridge Island Beach Cleanup, the annual Bainbridge Island Environmental Conference, and the Fix-it Fair.
