Kids in Concert

Kids In Concert is 83 students strong – we provide an instrument, the instruction and the support in a four day per week free after school program. Our students learn music theory, to sing in a choir, a stringed instrument, percussion and in the Fall of 2022, a woodwind or brass instrument! KIC is much more than just a music program. We believe in creating compassionate citizens of the world through the healing and developmental power of music and, to that end, provide the positive youth experiences that are strong predictors of social and emotional learning and development. Our students graduate to go in to helping fields such as medicine, nursing, teaching and social work. To date, KIC has a 100% high school graduation rate and matriculation in to post secondary education. Success at KIC is leadership, compassion, resilience, kindness, and, yes, musicianship!
